Pharmacist in Cicero, IL

A dedicated Night Pharmacist is needed to support pediatric care in a hospital setting with a focus on children’s health. This role involves working nights on a 7-on, 7-off schedule and requires confidence and expertise in pediatric medication management.

Location:

• Chicago, IL

Schedule:

• Night shifts, 9:00 pm to 7:30 am
• 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and review medications with a focus on weight-based pediatric dosing
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Utilize pharmacy IT systems, including EPIC and Omnicell, for medication tracking and patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards in medication management
• Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to hospital policies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current Illinois Pharmacist license
• Strong hospital pharmacy experience, particularly in pediatric settings
• Proficiency in pediatric medication dosing and comfort with weight-based calculations
• Experience using EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred

This opportunity is a contract position starting as soon as possible, with an expected duration of 13 weeks or longer.
