Per Diem Pharmacist in Citrus Heights, CA

Pharmacists are needed to provide per diem coverage in various Northern California locations, including Sacramento, the Bay Area/North Bay, and Northern CA (Redding, Chico). Candidates must be willing to commute locally or regionally to cover pharmacy shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and efficient pharmacy services, ensuring patient safety
• Manage daily pharmacy operations, including opening and closing procedures
• Supervise and work alongside pharmacy technicians
• Administer immunizations as certified
• Utilize McKesson’s Enterprise (ERx) software for dispensing and record-keeping
• Adapt to varying shift schedules based on coverage requests

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Must have at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, including experience opening/closing pharmacies and managing technicians
• Immunization certification is required
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise software preferred
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute, with mileage reimbursement available for travel exceeding 30 miles one way
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Location: Coverage needed across multiple Northern California areas: Sacramento, Bay Area/North Bay, Northern CA (Redding, Chico), with shifts primarily assigned within these regions.

Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem, as-needed basis with an average of 1-2 shifts per week
• Flexible scheduling suitable for pharmacists working part-time elsewhere
