Join a reputable community hospital’s oncology pharmacy team in Grand Junction, CO, as a full-time Pharmacist. This direct hire position plays a vital role in delivering clinical and operational pharmacy services within a specialized oncology setting. The pharmacist will ensure safe and effective medication management, provide patient counseling, and uphold hospital compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify provider medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and drug interactions
• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications (oral, IV, topical, enteral) following strict protocols and regulations
• Monitor patient therapies for safety and efficacy; collaborate with healthcare providers on treatment adjustments
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
• Counsel patients regarding medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth workflow
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance including USP standards
• Manage medication inventory, monitor for drug shortages or recalls
• Participate in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
• Serve as acting Pharmacy Director when necessary
• Verify the integrity of all pharmaceutical products prior to distribution

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
• Minimum one year of related pharmacy experience or equivalent education and experience
• Current, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications
