Pharmacist in Clifton, CO

A full-time Pharmacist position is available to support oncology services at a community hospital in Grand Junction, CO. This direct hire role involves clinical and operational pharmacy support within an oncology setting, focusing on patient counseling, medication management, and adherence to all regulatory and hospital standards.

Location:

• Grand Valley Oncology, Grand Junction, CO
• Onsite, in-person position
• Candidates must relocate to Grand Junction, CO (81505) prior to start

Position Responsibilities:

• Review and verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and interactions
• Prepare, compound, and dispense medications including oral, IV, topical, and enteral forms according to protocols
• Monitor patient therapy for safety and effectiveness; collaborate with healthcare providers on treatment plans
• Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients
• Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
• Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance
• Manage medication inventory and monitor for shortages or recalls
• Participate in clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives
• Serve as acting Pharmacy Director when needed
• Verify the integrity of products prior to distribution
• Maintain compliance with United States Pharmacopeia (USP) standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred
• Minimum of one year related experience or equivalent education and experience
• Current, unrestricted Colorado Pharmacist license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certifications required
