This direct hire opportunity invites a skilled Medication Safety/Compliance Pharmacist to influence pediatric patient care and medication safety standards in a leading healthcare environment. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, you will work closely with pharmacy leadership to ensure compliance with all medication management laws and promote best practices based on evidence and data. This role emphasizes ongoing evaluation of pharmacy practices, policy updates, and staff education with a focus on patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead medication safety initiatives and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and interdisciplinary teams to implement best practices
  • Oversee and contribute to staff education on patient safety and regulatory topics
  • Monitor and assess medication management policies, making data-driven improvements
  • Serve as the patient advocate within medication safety realms
  • Utilize MERP (Medication Error Reporting Program) expertise and EPIC EMR system proficiency

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required)
  • Licensed Registered Pharmacist in California (CA-SBP) (required)
  • Completed accredited residency program (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire (required)
  • Medication Safety Certificate or Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years hospital pharmacy experience (required)
  • At least 2 years management experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements including The Joint Commission standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills

Location: Clovis, CA
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts (40 hours/week), Days
