This direct hire role focuses on advanced pharmacy practice in hematology/oncology, including CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) therapies.
Location: Clovis, CA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, effective pharmaceutical care from order review to administration and monitoring of drug therapy outcomes.
- Serve as a pharmacology consultant and patient advocate within the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Support FACT accreditation by meeting core competencies and continuing education requirements.
- Participate in staff development and training, collaborating with pharmacy students and residents.
- Function within a 24/7 inpatient pharmacy environment requiring primarily day shifts, with some weekend and limited evening/overnight coverage.
- Utilize proficiency in the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required).
- Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency Program (preferred).
- PGY-2 residency in Oncology and BCOP certification (preferred).
- Registered Pharmacist licensed by the California State Board of Pharmacy (required).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required within designated timeframes.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification encouraged for specific areas.
- Minimum of 2 years oncology experience in pediatrics preferred.
- Experience with pediatric hematopoietic cell transplant and oncology preferred.
Schedule:
- 10-hour mixed shifts with emphasis on days, including weekends and limited evenings or overnights.
