An opening opportunity exists for an experienced Hematology/Oncology Pharmacist specializing in CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant therapies within a leading pediatric healthcare setting. This direct hire role supports neonates through young adulthood, contributing critical pharmaceutical care in a pediatric inpatient environment with a focus on hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) services. The position emphasizes advanced pharmacy practice, clinical pharmaceutical services, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide pharmaceutical care from physician order review through drug administration and monitoring
  • Serve as pharmacology consultant and patient advocate within the healthcare team
  • Support FACT accreditation and maintain core competencies with ongoing education
  • Participate in staff development by training pharmacy students and residents
  • Ensure safe and effective drug therapy in a 24/7 inpatient pharmacy; work primarily 10-hour mixed shifts including days, some weekends, limited evenings, and overnight coverage
  • Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and communication

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
  • ASHP Accredited Residency Program completion preferred; PGY-2 oncology focus highly preferred
  • Pediatric oncology pharmacy experience, ideally 2+ years
  • Registered Pharmacist licensure with California State Board of Pharmacy
  • Certifications: PALS and BLS required; ACLS and Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification encouraged
  • Proven knowledge of pharmacology and drug distribution principles
  • Ability to perform essential duties competently with reasonable accommodations as needed
