A non-sterile compounding pharmacist opportunity is available within a specialized compounding pharmacy focused on bespoke pharmaceutical preparations tailored specifically to patients' unique needs. This role requires oversight and verification of technicians’ compounded products, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities include ensuring all non-sterile compounded medications are prepared according to master formula worksheets and adhere strictly to company SOPs and regulatory requirements. The pharmacist will monitor production equipment, validate quality and potency of compounds, and conduct thorough quality control testing. Compliance with cleaning and garbing policies is essential to maintain a safe environment, while accurate documentation and calculation are integral to the role. Continuous professional development is encouraged to stay current with evolving compounding techniques and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and oversee technicians’ preparation of non-sterile compounded medications
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs and all state and federal regulations
  • Monitor and operate production and computerized equipment accurately
  • Conduct quality control tests and inspections for compounded products
  • Maintain adherence to cleaning, garbing, and aseptic technique policies
  • Prepare work areas thoroughly before production
  • Stay informed on new compounding methods and industry advancements

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License
  • Recent pharmacy experience with a background in non-sterile compounding
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Proficiency in following SOPs and regulatory compliance

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

This contract-to-hire position lasts 13 weeks, initially offering a chance to demonstrate expertise in a highly specialized compounding environment with potential for permanent placement.
