A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy in Coatesville, PA is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join their team on a 13-week contract-to-hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to oversee daily pharmacy operations while ensuring high-quality pharmaceutical care in a dynamic specialty compounding environment.
Responsibilities include supervising fulfillment personnel and managing operations during your shift, actively participating in the shipping and handling of prescription orders, and ensuring all prescriptions are processed accurately according to prescriber and patient requirements. You will ensure proper techniques are used, documentation is precise, and all compounding activities comply with relevant laws and standards.
A key part of the role involves patient care: assessing patient demographics, reviewing medication histories, and developing individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal therapeutic outcomes. You will also educate and counsel patients on prescription and over-the-counter medications, nutritional supplements, and monitor drug therapies for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and duplication.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:30 PM
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license is required
- Minimum of 2 years retail pharmacy experience
