Pharmacist - Cobleskill, NY

Join a dynamic inpatient hospital pharmacy team in Oneonta, New York, with a 13-week travel contract opportunity starting ASAP. This role offers a full travel package including housing, meals, and mileage, supporting a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday with multiple shift options between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Weekend and holiday coverage are generally not required, with limited on-call responsibilities occasionally expected for well-prepared pharmacists.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, with shift options:
  • 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Minimal weekend or holiday coverage, potential every 3rd weekend rotation only if necessary
• On-call duties approx. 2–3 nights per week possible

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense medication orders accurately
• Supervise and oversee pharmacy technician activities
• Perform pharmacokinetic dosing, including vancomycin and aminoglycosides
• Support general inpatient pharmacy workflow and provide clinical assistance
• Maintain sterile compounding compliance, oversee compounding technicians, and ensure adherence to USP 797 and 800 standards
• Work within Epic EMR and BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License (mandatory)
• Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (retail or outpatient only is insufficient)
• Proficiency in sterile compounding with USP 797 and 800 compliance, including gloving, garbing, hygiene, fingertip testing, media-fill competency
• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD (PharmD preferred but not required)
• Willingness to complete a minimum two-week onsite orientation before independent practice
