Pharmacist | Colby, Wisconsin

This travel pharmacist opportunity offers a rewarding role in a rural 75-bed hospital setting in Northern Wisconsin. The position requires strong skills in managing inpatient pharmacy operations with a focus on providing high-quality medication services across multiple departments, including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, emergency, and surgery.

Location: Northern Wisconsin (Colby area)
Job Type: Contract (13+ weeks)
Schedule:

• Primarily 10-hour day shifts
• Rotating weekends with 8-hour day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Manage concurrent responsibilities within a central inpatient pharmacy, including verifying EPIC medication orders, reviewing technician work, and responding to pharmacist inquiries
• Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient IV medications, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy
• Support patient care for an inpatient census typically ranging from 30 to 40 patients
• Collaborate across multiple hospital departments such as inpatient/outpatient surgery, Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, oncology, and emergency services

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with prior hospital inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficient in using EPIC electronic health record systems
• Strong ability to multitask and manage pharmacy operations in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable supporting a diverse inpatient and outpatient population
