Pharmacist - Colchester, IL

A hospital pharmacy opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to work at a small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois setting. This contract position offers a chance to practice in a close-knit hospital environment, serving the community with essential pharmaceutical care.

Location:

• Macomb, Illinois

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Potential weekend rotation

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely within the hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy
• Participate in clinical rounds and provide pharmaceutical insights
• Manage IV therapy preparation and nutritional support as required
• Monitor pharmacokinetics and adjust medication plans accordingly

Desired Qualifications:

• Current Illinois pharmacist license is mandatory
• Minimum of 1 year recent hospital pharmacy experience
• Additional training or experience in nutritional support, IV therapy, and pharmacokinetics is highly valued
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
