A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Columbus, OH, is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their Control Room team as a direct hire. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a site operation focused on delivering expert pharmaceutical care to long-term care facilities.

Location: Columbus, OH
Type: Direct Hire
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 4:00 pm – 12:30 am
  • Every other weekend required
  • Start: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage controlled drugs (narcotics) with strict adherence to legal and security protocols
  • Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness including drug selection, dosage, potential interactions, and administration
  • Provide recommendations for therapy adjustments to physicians and facility staff when necessary
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database encompassing medical history, clinical, and laboratory data
  • Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries effectively
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding pharmaceutical concerns
  • Supervise the preparation and dispensing of medications
  • Maintain records of controlled substances for compliance and stock control purposes
  • Participate in "on-call" duties as needed
  • Utilize Frameworks pharmacy system for daily operations

Qualifications:

  • Current pharmacist license for the state of Ohio (in-hand)
  • Experience handling controlled substances and working in a controlled drug environment
  • Strong clinical knowledge related to medication therapy management
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
