Pharmacist - Columbus, Ohio

A growing closed-door Long Term Care pharmacy in Columbus, OH is seeking four direct hire staff pharmacists to join their expanding operation. This opportunity offers multiple shift options on the second shift, providing an excellent chance to work in a specialized pharmacy environment focused on long-term care patients.

Available shifts include:

• Three positions on 2nd shift (6:00 pm – 2:30 am) Monday through Friday with every other weekend required
• One position with a 7 days on/7 days off schedule (6:00 pm – 4:30 am), Monday through Sunday

Pharmacists must hold a valid Ohio pharmacy license. Flexible second shift scheduling with options for 4x10-hour shifts (such as 4pm-2:30am, 6pm-4:30am, or 8pm-6:30am) or the 7on/7off rotation demonstrate the client’s commitment to attracting skilled talent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug selection, dosage, possible interactions, and proper administration
• Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of medications
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members regarding medication-related issues
• Supervise medication preparation and manage resolution of medication-related queries
• Recommend therapy adjustments when necessary in consultation with physicians and facility staff
• Maintain comprehensive patient databases including medical history, clinical data, and laboratory results

Experience with pharmacy systems such as Frameworks is preferred.
