Pharmacist in Comfort, TX

A 13-week+ contract opportunity is available for a Pharmacist at a 120-bed community hospital near Comfort, TX. The hospital is located in Kerrville, TX and serves the local community with quality healthcare services. The role requires a pharmacist with a valid Texas license and hospital experience, ready to support the pharmacy team with daily operations.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday day shifts starting at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 am to 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts)
• Flexibility with scheduling is highly desirable

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely in compliance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
• Manage IV preparations using MedKeeper technology
• Utilize Meditech electronic health record system effectively
• Operate Omnicell automated dispensing systems
• Monitor medication usage and maintain inventory

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas Pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and shift requirements
• Proficiency with Meditech, MedKeeper, and Omnicell preferred
