A community hospital with 120 beds is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support their pharmacy team. This opportunity involves working at a hospital located near Comfort, TX, serving the Kerrville area. The role begins as soon as possible and is offered as a contract assignment with a duration of at least 13 weeks.

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday to Friday day shifts, starting at 7 am, 8 am, or 9 am
• Coverage required every 4th weekend
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 am to 10:15 pm, 10-hour shifts) in the future
• Flexibility with scheduling is highly valued

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, dispense, and review medications accurately in line with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapies
• Utilize Meditech and MedKeeper systems for medication management, including IVs
• Manage pharmacy inventory and Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards within the pharmacy

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current pharmacist license in Texas
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records and MedKeeper preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Flexibility to adapt to possible schedule changes
