Pharmacist in Comfort, TX

A hospital in Kerrville, TX, is seeking a Pharmacist with strong clinical experience, particularly candidates who have worked in decentralized ICU settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a 120-bed community hospital.

Schedule and Duration:

• Monday to Friday day shifts, starting at 7 AM, 8 AM, or 9 AM
• Coverage every 4th weekend
• Potential to transition to 2nd shift (11:45 AM to 10:15 PM, 10-hour shifts) in the future
• Contract duration: 13 weeks or longer
• Flexibility in scheduling is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services within the hospital setting, supporting the medical team and ensuring safe medication use
• Participate in decentralized ICU pharmacy activities, including clinical monitoring and medication management
• Utilize hospital IT systems including Meditech, MedKeeper for IVs, and Omnicell for medication dispensing
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• Current Texas pharmacist license
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience, ideally with ICU exposure
• Strong clinical knowledge and skills
• Ability to adapt to evolving shift schedules and hospital needs
