Travel Retail Pharmacist - Cooperstown, New York

An outpatient retail pharmacy position is available in Cooperstown, NY, within a respected and stable health system known for its strong pharmacy program and community reputation. This opportunity offers a full-time contract role with a reputable healthcare network serving a large rural area in Central New York.

Location:

• Cooperstown, New York (primary location)
• Occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi locations for vacation/sick time

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

• Dispense approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly within a high-volume outpatient retail pharmacy
• Provide excellent customer service, maintaining the health system’s high standards
• Participate in the Meds to Beds program for hospital patients
• Administer immunization services as certified or once certified
• Use PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System and EPIC EMR for patient demographics and insurance details
• Collaborate with a team of pharmacists to ensure smooth operations
• Provide occasional coverage at Oneonta and Delhi sites as needed

Qualifications:

• Active, in-good-standing New York State Pharmacist License
• Experience in retail or outpatient pharmacy settings required
• High-volume dispensing experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems preferred
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain is necessary
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service
• Flexibility to cover additional locations occasionally
