Travel Retail Pharmacist | Cooperstown, New York

A well-established outpatient retail pharmacy in Cooperstown, New York, is seeking a full-time pharmacist to join their team. This travel-based opportunity offers the chance to work within a respected integrated health system known for its commitment to excellent patient care and community service in Central New York.

Position Details:

• Location: Cooperstown, NY (with occasional coverage in Oneonta and Delhi)
• Employment Type: Full-time contract
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense approximately 1,100 prescriptions weekly in a high-volume outpatient retail setting
• Provide exceptional customer service that aligns with the client’s non-negotiable standards
• Facilitate the Meds to Beds program assisting hospital patients with medication delivery
• Administer immunizations and support other public health initiatives
• Utilize PioneerRx Pharmacy Management System and EPIC EMR effectively for prescription processing and patient information
• Provide occasional pharmacy coverage at multiple locations to support team continuity during absences

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active New York State Pharmacist License in good standing
• Retail or outpatient pharmacy experience required; high-volume dispensing experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx and EPIC systems is advantageous
• Immunization certification or willingness to obtain this credential
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills focused on patient-centered care
• Flexibility to cover additional locations as needed
