Pharmacist | Cortland, New York

This specialty pharmacist role offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced pharmacy skills in a clinical and dispensing setting within a newly established specialty pharmacy. The position involves managing an average of 50 prescriptions per month and requires close collaboration with oncology providers, clinical teams, pharmacy staff, and various support departments such as Prior Authorization, Financial Assistance, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical assessments and dispense specialty medications with precision and care.
• Collaborate with oncology providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Engage with Prior Authorization and Financial Assistance teams to facilitate smooth medication access.
• Coordinate with transportation and support personnel to manage medication delivery and logistics.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State pharmacy license.
• Proven experience in specialty pharmacy practices.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
• Familiarity with oncology pharmacy, particularly oral oncology medications, is highly desirable but not required.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

This is a contract opportunity with the possibility to transition to permanent status based on performance. The position is set to start promptly and will continue for at least eight weeks, with potential for extension.
