Pharmacist - Cortland, NY

A specialty pharmacist opportunity is available to support clinical and dispensing operations within a newly established Specialty Pharmacy. This contract role is based in Cortland, NY, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, starting as soon as possible for a duration of at least eight weeks. There is potential for this position to transition to permanent status.

Key responsibilities include managing clinical and dispensing tasks for an average prescription volume of 50 Rxs per month. The pharmacist will work closely with healthcare providers, primarily in oncology, as well as with clinical and pharmacy teams. Coordination with Prior Authorization and Financial Assistance personnel, transportation, and additional support services is essential to ensure optimal patient care and medication delivery.

Ideal candidates will hold a current New York pharmacist license and bring demonstrated experience in specialty pharmacy settings. Proficiency with EPIC systems is a mandatory requirement. While oncology pharmacy experience is not essential, familiarity with oral oncology medications is considered a strong advantage.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license
• Experience in specialty pharmacy operations
• EPIC electronic health record system expertise (required)
• Oncology pharmacy experience preferred but not mandatory
• Exposure to oral oncology medications is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams
