Pharmacist in Council Bluffs, IA

A pharmacist opportunity is available in an inpatient behavioral health setting in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment begins on 5/18 and will continue until a permanent pharmacist is hired. The schedule includes weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday for 6 hours each day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and prepare medications accurately for patients
• Utilize automated systems for drug repackaging and restocking
• Load medications into automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care

Qualifications:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience with Omnicell automated medication systems is preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging processes using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems is desirable
• Basic knowledge of loading medications into automated machines and running restock reports

Schedule:

• Saturdays and Sundays, 6 hours per day
