Pharmacist | Council Bluffs, Iowa

A pharmacy professional with expertise in inpatient and behavioral health settings is needed to support weekend operations at a healthcare facility in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract role is ideal for a pharmacist licensed in Iowa who is comfortable working on weekends and has hands-on experience with pharmacy automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately in an inpatient/behavioral health environment
• Repackage medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL systems
• Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and perform routine restock report tasks
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient care during weekend shifts

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license
• Practical experience with Omnicell automated dispensing systems preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging medication and running restock reports
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during 6-hour weekend shifts (Saturday-Sunday)

Schedule/Hours:

• Saturdays and Sundays, 6 hours per day
