Pharmacist - Council Bluffs, Iowa

This part-time retail pharmacist role serves a grocery store pharmacy located in Omaha, Nebraska. The position offers an ongoing contract assignment with a flexible two-week rotating schedule designed to accommodate candidate availability and pharmacy needs.

Schedule:

• Week 1:
  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Total: 24 hours
• Week 2:
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Total: 17 hours

The pharmacy manager is open to schedule adjustments to best fit your availability.

Core Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and patient safety
• Provide counseling and medication guidance to patients
• Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
• Deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred for fastest integration
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes when necessary
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise software is preferred but not required
