A part-time Retail Pharmacist position is available within a busy grocery store pharmacy located near Council Bluffs, IA, serving the Omaha, Nebraska area. This ongoing contract assignment offers a flexible two-week rotating schedule designed to accommodate candidate availability and pharmacy needs. The role demands a dedicated professional who can maintain accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service in a retail pharmacy environment.

Schedule:

• Week 1:

  • Sunday: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Total: 24 hours

• Week 2:

  • Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Total: 17 hours

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions and ensure their accuracy for patient safety
• Provide patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service aligned with retail pharmacy standards

Qualifications:

• Active Nebraska Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience is preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills essential
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Flexibility to adapt schedule based on pharmacy needs
• Experience with McKesson Enterprise preferred but not required
