Pharmacist in Cranberry Township, PA

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacist with expertise in long-term care to support skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice settings. This contract role offers a dynamic environment working with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of medication management and patient safety.

Location: Cranberry Township, PA
Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Sunday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and verifying medication orders entered by data entry technicians for long-term care and hospice patients
• Checking blister-packaged medications as well as sterile and non-sterile preparations
• Responding to phone inquiries from nurses, physicians, and hospice staff, addressing clinical questions accurately
• Counting controlled substances and maintaining perpetual inventory documentation
• Inspecting emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness and compliance

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Active, licensed pharmacist in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year pharmacy experience, preferably in long-term care
• Strong attention to detail, with physical ability to sit, stand, perform fine motor tasks, and lift up to 30 pounds

Experience with pharmacy operating systems QS1, Docutrack, and PCC is essential to effectively manage operations and documentation.

This contract assignment is scheduled for 1 month with potential for extension based on performance and business needs.
