Pharmacist | Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania

This opportunity calls for a Licensed Pharmacist with expertise in long-term care to support skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities. The role is based in Cranberry Township, PA, offering a contract position with a potential for extension beyond the initial one-month assignment.

Schedule:

• 40 hours per week
• Pharmacy hours Monday through Friday: 8am – 6pm
• Saturday: 8am – 4pm
• Sunday: 8am – 3pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings including skilled nursing and hospice
• Inspect blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile medications to ensure accuracy and safety
• Respond to incoming calls from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, offering clinical guidance and answering medication-related queries
• Perform controlled substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation
• Check emergency medication boxes for compliance and readiness

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred
• Physical capability to sit, stand, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and visual acuity
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds

Technology:

• Proficient with QS1, Docutrack, and PCC operating systems
