A pharmacy role is available for an experienced pharmacist to support medication management and clinical services in a healthcare setting. This 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week with varied pharmacy hours, including weekdays and weekends.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Sunday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities.
- Inspect packaged medications, including blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile products.
- Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice providers, and physicians, addressing clinical questions.
- Conduct controlled substance counts and maintain accurate perpetual inventory documentation.
- Review emergency medication boxes ensuring proper stocking and accuracy.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; prior experience in long-term care (LTC) preferred.
- Proficiency with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC.
- Ability to perform sitting, standing, fine motor tasks, and visual acuity requirements; able to lift up to 30 pounds.
