Per Diem Pharmacist - Cranberry Township, PA

This role offers a per diem pharmacist position based in Cranberry Township, PA, ideal for professionals seeking flexible work arrangements. The assignment is expected to last one month initially, with the possibility of extension.

Schedule & Hours:

• 24 hours per week
• Pharmacy operating Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities
• Inspect blister-packed medications and both sterile and non-sterile medications for accuracy and safety
• Respond to phone inquiries from nursing staff, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions
• Perform controlled substance counts and maintain documentation within the perpetual inventory
• Monitor and check emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania, in good standing
• Minimum of one year of pharmacist experience, with preference for long-term care (LTC) exposure
• Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds

Technical Skills:

• Proficient with pharmacy management systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC
