Pharmacist | Cullman, Alabama

Join a growing veterinary compounding pharmacy dedicated to producing high-quality non-sterile medications primarily for animal patients, including equine prescriptions. Located in Cullman, AL, this close-knit team fills over 200 prescriptions daily and is seeking a pharmacist to support and enhance their operations with a Contract to Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support a team of 3–4 pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Verify prescriptions and oversee workflow to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and maintain consistency of approximately 25–30 regularly used compounding formulations.
• Ensure compliance with compounding procedures, pharmacy regulations, and quality standards.
• Assist with inventory management and contribute to workflow optimization.
• Foster a collaborative, responsible team environment with a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

• Active Alabama Pharmacist license.
• Strong experience in non-sterile compounding.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise technicians and manage workflow effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.
• A professional work ethic with a team-oriented mindset.

Highly Preferred:

• Experience in veterinary, animal, or equine compounding.
• Previous work in a high-volume compounding pharmacy.
• Familiarity with Pharmetica software (training available if needed).
