An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacist to support a large, busy hospital with over 500 beds in a prominent medical center in Texas. This contract position offers a chance to work in a dynamic inpatient setting, gaining valuable experience within a complex healthcare environment.

Location: Cypress, TX

Schedule:

• 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
• 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM

Contract Details:

• Immediate start
• 13 weeks minimum
• Potential for temp-to-hire conversion

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispense and verify inpatient medications accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Manage inventory and compounding as needed
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Utilize electronic health records system to document and track patient medication information

Qualifications:

• Active Texas pharmacist license required
• Texas Intravenous Therapy (IV) certification mandatory
• Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is preferred
