An established hospital within a bustling medical center is seeking a skilled pharmacist to support its pharmacy operations. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your expertise will directly impact patient care in a large 500+ bed hospital.
Location: Cypress, TX
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks with potential temp-to-hire)
Schedule:
- 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM
- 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Manage and dispense medications safely and accurately to inpatients
- Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to ensure optimal pharmacological care
- Utilize EPIC or similar electronic health records for medication management and documentation
- Monitor patient drug therapies for efficacy and adverse effects
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Pharmacist license
- Texas IV Certification
- Minimum of 3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health systems preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a hospital setting
