Pharmacist - Delano, CA

A 13-week contract opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to support a 45-bed community hospital located near Bakersfield, California. This position offers the chance to apply your expertise in a hospital setting utilizing the Cerner system.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense medications in an inpatient environment
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Manage inventory and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations
• Provide clinical support and medication counseling to patients and staff
• Utilize Cerner for medication order processing and documentation

Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license required
• 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Proficiency with Cerner or similar hospital information systems highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule & Location:

• Work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
• Variable days and afternoon shifts with start times at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM
• Assignment located in Delano, CA, serving Bakersfield area
• ASAP start date
