Pharmacist | Delano, California

Join an opportunity to provide expert pharmacy care in a community hospital setting. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with inpatient experience, ready to support patient health in a dynamic environment.

Location:

• Bakersfield, CA (Travel opportunity)
• 45-bed community hospital

Schedule:

• 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
• Variable days and afternoon shifts starting at 7:30 AM or 1:30 PM

Duration:

• 13-week contract beginning ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with hospital protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
• Utilize Cerner IT system for medication management and documentation
• Monitor patient responses and advise on safe medication practices
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California Pharmacist license
• 2-3 years of inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner pharmacy systems preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and fast-paced hospital environment
