Pharmacist - Delano, CA

A specialized opportunity is available for experienced pharmacists to support a critical Electronic Medical Record (EMR) transition from Cerner to EPIC. This role focuses on maintaining pharmacy operations during an 8-week contract period while permanent staff concentrate on implementing and troubleshooting the new software system.

Location: Delano, CA
Type: Contract (8 weeks)

Schedule:

• Evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 3:30 am (12-hour shifts)
• Must be able to work 48 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmacy support and staffing coverage during the EMR conversion
• Collaborate effectively with permanent staff and IT teams to ensure smooth daily operations
• Assist in troubleshooting and adapting pharmacy workflows to the new EPIC system
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and medication management throughout the transition

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Demonstrated experience with both Cerner and EPIC systems within the last 5 years
• Previous employment or successful completion of a contract involving Cerner and EPIC systems
• Strong adaptability to software changes and excellent problem-solving skills
