Pharmacist | Des Plaines, Illinois

A mail order and fulfillment pharmacy located in the Chicago area is seeking a dual-licensed pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. This role requires both Illinois and Nevada pharmacist licenses to support on-site and remote pharmacy operations. The pharmacy services include filling prescriptions for major providers such as Express Scripts, Optum, CVS Caremark, as well as their own direct-to-patient offerings.

Responsibilities include on-site processing and verification of prescriptions, supervising pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient volume flow, and remote processing of prescriptions. The site operates Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with pharmacists participating in a Saturday rotation approximately every 6-7 weeks.

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active pharmacist licenses in both Illinois and Nevada (required)
• Experience with mail order or fulfillment pharmacy operations
• Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively
• Competency in prescription processing and verification
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Comfortable working both on-site and remotely as needed

Location:

• Primarily based in Schaumburg, IL (Chicago area), with on-site presence required

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Saturday work included on a rotational basis every 6-7 weeks
