Qualifications & Experience:

  • Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution; PharmD preferred
  • Current licensure in the practicing state through successful completion of required exams
  • Minimum of three years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to mentor healthcare trainees and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Location: Deshler, NE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescribed medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal regulations
  • Advise medical staff on drug therapies, potential side effects, and dosage adjustments
  • Maintain pharmaceutical inventories and ensure compliance with storage standards
  • Conduct medication use reviews and participate in patient care rounds as necessary
  • Provide consultation services to contracted long-term care facilities monthly
  • Uphold confidentiality, comply with HIPAA, and contribute to facility policies and drug use guidelines

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor, climate-controlled, smoke-free environment
  • Occasional exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals, including hazardous drug agents requiring annual respirator fitting
  • Frequent interaction with patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals
