Pharmacist – Home Infusion and Sterile Compounding Expertise

This contract opportunity is ideal for a pharmacist with strong home infusion and sterile compounding experience, available for a 2-month assignment. Working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, this role involves supporting the preparation and verification of sterile compounds in a clean room environment, ensuring adherence to USP 797 and 800 standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacy technicians with the preparation and verification of sterile compounded medications in a home infusion setting.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including USP 797 and USP 800.
• Provide clinical consultation to patients receiving home infusion therapies.
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Utilize pharmacy computer systems, with knowledge of Care Tend considered a plus.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Michigan pharmacy license.
• Proven experience in home infusion pharmacy practice.
• Solid background in sterile compounding within a home infusion environment preferred.
• Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 standards.
• Experience with Care Tend computer system is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
