Pharmacist in Dixon, IL

This opportunity is for a permanent retail pharmacist position located in Sterling, IL. The role involves direct responsibility for the evaluation, preparation, and dispensing of medications. You will ensure that all prescribed medications comply with professional standards, facility procedures, and legal requirements at the state and federal levels.

Key responsibilities include performing medication reconciliation processes when possible, promoting a seamless continuum of care for patients during discharge. A strong focus on excellent customer service and clinical care is essential. You will also consult with patients about their prescribed medications or supplies, including dosage, frequency, specialized instructions, and potential drug interactions.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year’ experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a retail setting
• Proven ability to adhere to legal and professional standards related to medication dispensing
• Strong communication skills to consult effectively with patients
