Per Diem Pharmacist - Douglasville, Georgia

This per diem position is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking flexible work overseeing a busy independent compounding pharmacy. The role involves supervising a team of five pharmacy technicians and managing mail order operations, particularly in the eye drop department that ships post-cataract surgery products. This opportunity offers ongoing coverage needs including vacation fill-in hours.

Location:

• Douglasville, GA (with ongoing coverage in Chattanooga, TN)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
• Lunch break from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm
• Saturdays and Sundays off

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily workflow including data entry, prescription fills, and customer communications handled by pharmacy technicians
• Answer technical and operational questions as they arise to ensure smooth operations
• Supervise the mail order eye drop department specialized in post-cataract surgery drops
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Pharmacist License in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
• Mail order pharmacy experience is a plus but not mandatory
