Per Diem Pharmacist - Douglasville, Georgia

An Independent Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacist to provide vacation coverage and support ongoing needs in Chattanooga, TN. This role is ideal for a retired, semi-retired pharmacist, or a recent graduate looking for reliable, flexible work in a mail order pharmacy setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations supporting a volume of approximately 1,000 compounds per day
• Supervise a team of 5 pharmacy technicians responsible for data entry, prescription fills, and customer calls
• Address questions and resolve issues as they arise during the workflow
• Manage the mail order eye drop department, which ships three versions of post-cataract surgery eye drops to patients
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and maintain high standards of accuracy and patient safety

Schedule and Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Lunch break: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
• Weekends: Closed
• Per Diem position providing flexible coverage as needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Pharmacist License in the state of Tennessee, in good standing
• Minimum 1-2 years of pharmacist experience preferred
• Mail order experience is a plus but not required
• Strong leadership and communication skills to oversee technicians and manage department functions
