A hospital-based role is available for a licensed Pharmacist to support overnight pharmacy operations in Douglasville, GA. This contract position offers the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise and inpatient experience in a solo capacity with technician support.
Schedule:
- Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 7 days on, 7 days off
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians
- Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and adjustments
- Consult with nursing staff and physicians on medication therapies
- Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems to assist in daily workflow
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia pharmacist license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong ability to operate independently as the sole pharmacist on shift
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of hospital pharmacy operations and clinical protocols
