A full-time Pharmacist position is available in the Los Angeles area, offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting with a 117-bed capacity and an average daily census of 44 patients. This contract role spans 2 to 3 months or longer, providing essential pharmacy services during variable day and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities include verifying medication orders, overseeing pharmacy technicians, consulting with nursing and medical staff, and applying pharmacokinetic principles to optimize patient care. The position utilizes the Allscripts/Paragon order entry system and supports site specialty areas, including managing Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets. Flexibility to float to nearby sister hospitals within 10 to 15 miles of Norwalk may be required.

Desired Experience:

• Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of California
• Experience with hospital pharmacy operations and automated dispensing systems
• Familiarity with Allscripts/Paragon order entry systems preferred
• Strong clinical communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams
