Pharmacist - East Falmouth, Massachusetts

A 200-bed community hospital on Cape Cod, approximately 70 miles south of Boston, is seeking a dedicated night shift Pharmacist to join their pharmacy team. This contract role offers a unique opportunity to provide critical pharmaceutical services in a community-focused hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently during the night shift
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
• Manage pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring as needed
• Collaborate and consult with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient care
• Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for order processing and inventory management

Schedule:

• Night shift: 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Work week: 7 days on, 7 days off

Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Massachusetts
• Experience working in a hospital pharmacy environment
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system and Pyxis automated dispensing system
• Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills, particularly in clinical consultation roles
