A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 45-bed community hospital utilizing Cerner technology. This role requires a dedicated pharmacist to support inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services, ensuring safe and effective medication management.

Location: Bakersfield, CA
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on proper use
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize pharmacotherapy based on patient needs
• Monitor drug therapies for safety, efficacy, and adherence to hospital protocols
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation using Cerner electronic medical record systems
• Provide expertise on medication storage, handling, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license
• Proven experience as a pharmacist in hospital or community settings
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically Cerner, preferred
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
