Pharmacist - El Centro, CA

An opportunity is available for an Oncology Pharmacist to support a community health system in El Centro, CA. This position focuses on providing comprehensive medication therapy management for oncology patients, working closely with nurses and healthcare providers to ensure the highest quality of care.

Location: El Centro, CA
Type: Contract, 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
Start Date: ASAP

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with nurses and providers to optimize oncology medication therapies
• Manage preparation, dispensing, and review of chemotherapy and supportive care medications
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatments as necessary
• Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff and patients
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols within a community health setting

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California Pharmacist license required
• Proven oncology pharmacy experience
• Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) credentials preferred
• Comfortable working in a smaller, community health environment and adaptable to a multidisciplinary team
