An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacist specializing in oncology to support a community health system in El Centro, CA. This role focuses on delivering expert pharmaceutical care to oncology patients, working closely with nursing staff and healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy within a smaller community health setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with nurses and providers to develop and manage effective medication regimens for oncology patients.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and protocols in oncology pharmacy.
  • Provide patient counseling and education regarding oncology treatments.
  • Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies in partnership with the healthcare team.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active pharmacist license in California.
  • Demonstrated solid experience in oncology pharmacy.
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) credential is preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a smaller community health system environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule and Location:

  • Monday through Friday day shifts.
  • Position located in El Centro, CA.
  • Immediate start available.
  • 13-week contract with potential temp-to-hire opportunity based on performance and fit.
