Pharmacist in El Prado, NM

A rewarding opportunity awaits for an experienced Pharmacist to support a critical access hospital in the scenic area of Taos, New Mexico. This contract position offers the chance to provide essential pharmacy services in a close-knit healthcare setting caring for up to 25 patients.

Work Schedule:

• Day shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (06:30 - 19:00)
• 13-week duration with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct order verification ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Collaborate and consult closely with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
• Apply pharmacokinetic principles to interpret and monitor drug therapies
• Maintain patient safety and medication efficacy through diligent oversight

Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist with a valid New Mexico license or eligibility for a temporary New Mexico license
• Minimum of 2 years’ inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to handle the responsibilities in a critical access hospital setting
