Pharmacist in Elgin, IL

A mail order pharmacy located in the Chicago area is seeking a dual-licensed pharmacist to join their team on site. This role requires Illinois and Nevada pharmacist licenses to fulfill vital responsibilities supporting multiple insurance plans including Express Scripts, Optum, and CVS Caremark, as well as the company’s direct-to-patient services.

This contract position begins immediately and is expected to last between 3 to 6 months, with potential to transition into a permanent role. The facility operates Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with pharmacists rotating to cover Saturdays approximately every 6 to 7 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain high prescription volume flow.
• Perform remote Rx processing in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and company policies during both onsite and remote work.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois and Nevada pharmacist licenses are mandatory.
• Experience in fulfillment or mail order pharmacy preferred.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
