Per Diem Pharmacist - Elgin, Illinois

This opportunity is for a licensed pharmacist to provide per diem (PRN) support in a busy pharmacy setting. The schedule includes coverage on February 16 and 17 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. This role is ideal for pharmacists with specialty or oncology experience, but candidates with strong retail pharmacy backgrounds will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications and counsel patients on drug usage and potential side effects
• Manage prescription orders using Enterprise RX Pharmacy System and Iknowmed EMR
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
• Ensure safe and effective medication handling and storage within the pharmacy

Qualifications:

• Active and clear pharmacist license in Illinois
• Experience in specialty or oncology pharmacy preferred
• Proficiency using Enterprise RX Pharmacy System and Iknowmed EMR
• Strong retail pharmacy experience with excellent attention to detail will be considered
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under minimal supervision
