Inpatient Pharmacist | Elizabeth, New Jersey

An immediate opportunity is available for two inpatient/IV pharmacy technicians to support a hospital inpatient pharmacy on an overnight shift for a 13-week contract. This role requires expertise in inpatient pharmacy operations and IV admixture preparation in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and dispense intravenous medications in compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
• Support inpatient medication dispensing and distribution to ensure timely and accurate patient care
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system to document medication preparation and administration
• Collaborate with pharmacists and nursing staff for effective medication management
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical supplies

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in inpatient pharmacy settings with strong IV admixture skills
• Valid New Jersey pharmacy technician license (PTCB certification required)
• Proficient with EPIC EMR or similar hospital electronic medical records systems
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols

Location: This position is based just west of Newark, NJ, in Morristown.

Schedule:

• Overnight shift
• 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
• Contract start date: January 2
• Duration: 13 weeks
