Pharmacist - Elkhart, IN

A 13-week opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care in a 250-bed community hospital located in Northern Indiana. This assignment offers the possibility to extend and involves a dynamic inpatient setting where critical clinical skills are essential.

Schedule:

• 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts (1:00 pm to 10:30 pm)
• Potential for a 7 days on, 7 days off rotation

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
• Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
• Monitor pharmacokinetics and provide expert consultation to healthcare team members
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid pharmacist license in the state of Indiana or eligibility to obtain one
• Experience working in an inpatient hospital pharmacy environment
• Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and ability to apply clinical judgment
