Pharmacist - Elkhart, Indiana

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available for a 250-bed community hospital located in Northern Indiana. This role offers a 13-week contract with the potential for extension, providing an engaging environment to apply your pharmacy expertise.

Location: Mishawaka, IN

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• 2nd shift hours: 1:00 PM to 10:30 PM
• Possible alternative schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure adherence to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetics knowledge to manage dosing and drug therapy
• Support inpatient pharmacy services within a community hospital setting

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid pharmacist license with the ability to practice in Indiana
• Experience with inpatient pharmacy operations preferred
• Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary consultations
• Ability to supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians
• Competence in pharmacokinetics and clinical decision-making
