A specialty pharmacist opportunity is available in Elmira, NY, offering a unique travel assignment with the potential to transition into a permanent role. This position is designed for a pharmacist skilled in specialty pharmacy operations, focused on clinical and dispensing responsibilities within a growing Specialty Pharmacy setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and dispense specialty pharmacy prescriptions, averaging 50 Rxs per month.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, primarily in Oncology, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Work alongside clinical and pharmacy staff, as well as Prior Authorization, Financial Assistance, transportation, and other support teams.
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation and workflow management.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active New York State pharmacist license.
  • Experience working in specialty pharmacy environments.
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
  • Background or exposure to oncology pharmacy, especially oral oncology, is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

This contract role has an initial duration of 8 weeks or longer, starting as soon as possible. It offers an engaging environment to apply and expand specialty pharmacy expertise while supporting oncology patient care.
