A Specialty Pharmacist opportunity is available in Elmira, NY, supporting a newly established Specialty Pharmacy with a focus on clinical and dispensing responsibilities. This role offers unique experience in specialty pharmacy within a collaborative environment involving oncology providers and various pharmacy support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical and dispensing duties for specialty medications, primarily within oncology.
• Collaborate closely with oncology providers, clinical and pharmacy staff, prior authorization and financial assistance teams, and transportation coordinators.
• Manage an average prescription volume of approximately 50 specialty Rxs per month.
• Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• New York State pharmacist license in good standing.
• Proven experience working in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• Oncology pharmacy experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Exposure to oral oncology medications is a plus.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Additional Details:

• Contract role starting as soon as possible.
• Initial assignment duration of at least 8 weeks with potential for extension or temp-to-hire consideration.
• Flexible travel arrangements may be required to support this assignment.
