Retail Pharmacist in Elyria, OH

A specialty retail pharmacy requires an experienced pharmacist for an immediate contract opportunity in Elyria, OH. This role supports patients managing multiple complex chronic conditions, offering critical medication consultation and services for a vulnerable population.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert medication dispensing and counseling to patients taking 8-15 medications daily
• Communicate effectively and patiently with Medicare/Medicaid patients, many with low literacy and multiple chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and MS
• Utilize Pioneer Rx software for prescription processing and record management
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain exceptional patient care standards

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist in Ohio with current credentials
• Strong retail and specialty pharmacy background preferred
• Proven experience working with chronic illness patients is essential
• Excellent communication and patient consultation skills, demonstrating compassion and patience
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid patient needs and challenges
• Experience with Pioneer Rx software highly preferred

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Duration:

• 4 to 6 weeks, starting as soon as 11/19, until a long-term solution is secured
