An immediate opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support retail pharmacy operations in Binghamton, NY, with a leading grocery retailer. This role is open for contract-to-hire placement, providing a strong pathway to permanent employment for the right candidate who can start immediately.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the pharmacy manager to manage inventory, track weekly sales, and order pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand and optimize profits.
- Preparing, weighing, measuring, and mixing medications; dispensing both prescription and non-prescription drugs; and advising patients on appropriate medication use.
- Administering patient immunizations regularly to help promote community health.
- Providing leadership support by scheduling pharmacy associates, recognizing performance, addressing disciplinary actions, and assigning work in the pharmacy manager's absence, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to company objectives.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9 AM to 7 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM to 5 PM
- Sunday: 10 AM to 2 PM
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Current New York State Pharmacist License
- New York Immunization Certification is highly preferred
- Ability to begin work immediately
