Location: Ester, Alaska

Schedule/Hours:

• 8-hour shifts with start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
• Variable days including weekends
• Holiday shifts as needed, typically shorter (4-5 hours)
• Typically, an 11 AM shift will not be followed by a 7 AM shift

Responsibilities:

• Accurately review and verify hospital pharmacy orders following established protocols
• Dispense medications safely and efficiently in accordance with hospital guidelines
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including proper documentation
• Support hospital pharmacy operations during variable shifts, including holidays

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital environment
• Familiarity with standard hospital pharmacy order processing and medication verification
• Preferred experience with Cerner pharmacy systems
• Active Alaska pharmacist license required or eligibility to obtain a temporary license with application within 24 hours of offer acceptance
