An opportunity is available for a Night Pharmacist to support a busy pediatric hospital environment. The role involves working a 7-on, 7-off night shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing dedicated pharmaceutical care to pediatric patients. This 13-week+ contract position is ideal for pharmacists with a solid foundation in hospital pharmacy and pediatric experience.

Responsibilities include verifying and dispensing medications, collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure accurate weight-based dosing for pediatric patients, and utilizing hospital systems such as EPIC and Omnicell to manage medication orders and inventory efficiently. Attention to detail and patient safety in a fast-paced night shift setting are critical.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois
  • Proven hospital pharmacy experience, specifically in pediatric care
  • Comfortable and skilled with pediatric weight-based dosing
  • Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell pharmacy systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently overnight

  • Chicago, Illinois, in a prominent pediatric hospital setting

Schedule/Hours:

  • Nights (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • 7 days on, 7 days off
