Pharmacist - Everett, Washington

A pharmacist role is available in the Seattle area on a contract basis, starting ASAP for a duration of 16 weeks with potential to transition to permanent employment. The schedule includes variable days and afternoon shifts, each lasting 8 hours.

Responsibilities:

• Support inpatient pharmacy distribution activities ensuring safe and timely medication delivery.
• Verify medication orders accurately using the Epic system.
• Conduct final product verification checks to maintain quality control.
• Respond to clinical inquiries and provide expert drug information for patient care.
• Supervise and oversee pharmacy technician duties.
• Participate in emergency responses, including Code Blue situations.
• Utilize IT systems such as Epic and Pyxis for medication management.

Desired Experience:

• Licensed pharmacist with experience in inpatient pharmacy operations.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records software.
• Familiarity with automated dispensing systems like Pyxis.
• Ability to oversee and coordinate pharmacy technician functions.
• Strong clinical knowledge to answer drug-related questions effectively.
• Experience responding to emergency situations within the hospital setting is preferred.
