Pharmacist - Everett, Washington

This remote Managed Care Pharmacist role offers an opportunity to deliver clinical pharmacy services in a dynamic health plan environment. You will collaborate with medical directors, nurse case managers, and network providers to ensure members receive high-quality, evidence-based, and cost-effective care. This contract position requires a licensed pharmacist with strong experience in managed care, focusing on medication therapy management, drug utilization review, clinical policy development, and disease management programs.

Location: Remote (Candidates from Oregon, Washington, or California only)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Rare weekends required a few times per year

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care through Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate specialty pharmaceutical acquisition and care.
• Perform drug utilization reviews and develop clinical pharmacy policies.
• Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities.
• Review pharmacy and medical claims to identify medication-related problems and develop action plans.
• Educate and consult with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate therapeutic recommendations effectively to influence prescribing decisions.
• Maintain professional development and stay current with clinical pharmacy practices.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, complex healthcare environment.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacist license in OR, WA, or CA is required.
• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a managed care pharmacy setting, including handling prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
