Deliver clinical pharmacy expertise in a managed care setting, supporting coordinated, evidence-based, and cost-effective care for members. This remote position, based in Everett, WA, focuses on Medication Therapy Management, population health initiatives, specialty pharmaceutical coordination, drug utilization review, and clinical policy development. Collaboration with medical directors, nurse case managers, network physicians, and other healthcare professionals is key to optimizing patient outcomes and providing education on medication-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care through Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs.
  • Participate in population-based disease management and specialty pharmaceutical acquisition.
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews and contribute to program and clinical policy development.
  • Communicate therapeutic recommendations effectively to physicians to influence clinical decisions.
  • Educate and consult with internal and external healthcare teams.
  • Maintain professional development and clinical pharmacy expertise.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
  • Support Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee activities.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Oregon, Washington, or California.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a managed care environment, including prior authorizations, audits, appeals, and ALJ court hearings.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and influence healthcare providers.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and cost-effective healthcare delivery.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Rare weekend coverage required a few times per year

Location: Remote - must be licensed in OR, WA, or CA.
