Responsibilities

  • Verify physician medication orders and ensure medication safety.
  • Perform product verification and standard inpatient pharmacy duties.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff regarding medication therapies.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy procedures and regulations.
  • Support daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of recent hospital pharmacist experience required.
  • Experience with inpatient order verification and hospital pharmacy workflows.
  • Cerner experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Active Alaska Pharmacist license or temporary Alaska license accepted.
  • Candidates without an active Alaska license must apply within 24 hours of accepting an offer.
  • Strong communication and clinical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work rotating schedules including weekends and holidays as needed.

Work Hours

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Start times may include 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
  • Variable days throughout the week including weekends
