Per Diem Pharmacist - Fairfax, Virginia

A skilled PRN Pharmacist opportunity is available in a nursing home setting serving approximately 50 residents. This role is vital in ensuring accurate medication management and supporting quality patient care during vacation coverage periods.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Specific dates: August 5, 6, 7, 10, and 11

Location: Fairfax, VA

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescription orders for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with a pharmacy technician team of two to ensure efficient workflow
• Utilize the PointClickCare computer system for medication management and documentation
• Support resident safety through diligent medication checks and problem-solving

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• At least one year of recent experience as a practicing pharmacist
• Active and clear Virginia pharmacist license
• Familiarity with nursing home medication protocols preferred
• Proficiency with electronic medication record systems, especially PointClickCare, is a plus
