A healthcare facility in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join their inpatient hospital pharmacy team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work within a neuropsychiatric hospital setting, contributing to patient care with a focus on medication management and safety.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Duration:

• 13+ weeks or until permanent hire is made

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process medication orders within the hospital inpatient setting
• Manage medication dispensing using automated systems
• Collaborate effectively with hospital administrators, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital pharmacy protocols and regulatory standards
• Support inventory control and data entry related to medication orders

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid VA pharmacy license preferred
• Previous hospital pharmacy experience, preferably in inpatient care
• Proficiency in data order entry and verification processes
• Experience operating automated dispensing machines
